Sourcing the very best ingredients has been a real labour of love. We’ve met some amazing people and sampled some of the very best produce in the West Country.
To your right is a video created by our friends at Onbrandfilms, interviewing our management team.
Here’s the story of the food we cook for you:
For great tasting beef we need to source the best ingredients. We have searched far and wide for our beef and we believe some of the best comes from farms in Devon and Cornwall and on the Welsh Borders. From the minute we set foot on the farm we have chosen we knew these guys were right for us.
Warson Beef Farm's approach to farming mirrors our approach to food - pouring the same passion and attention to detail in to everything from the welfare of the animals to the maintenance of their buildings and farmland.
As well as Warson Beef Farm, we also use master butchers, Philip Warrens in Cornwall. Caring about our beef as much as we do the team ensures that all our beef meets our exacting standards of welfare and taste.
From the Welsh Borders we use a butchers called Neil Powell Master Butchers who have the same attention to detail and quality as Philip Warrens and he works closely with a Welsh Border farmer Johnny Morris of Willersley Court on the banks of the River Wye.
Johnny works with local breeds including Welsh Black and Herefords.
We pride ourselves on premium produce across the board, not just our steak. Our fish is supplied by two companies providing the best for your plates.
In Bristol we are proudly supported by Clifton Seafood Company; a small Bristol-based independent providing responsibly sourced fish to the South-west. Visit www.cliftonseafoodcompany.com for more details.
In Cardiff, E. Ashton fishmongers is our supplier. Alike to everything we do, E. Ashton is a local independent company and has been a part of Cardiff’s fabric since 1800. As experts in their field, we receive the most expertly prepared and tastiest treats from the sea. Check out www.ashtonfishmongers.co.uk for more.
